watch this while you wait…

I know all of you out there are on the edge of your seats waiting for the new portfolio to drop…okay, maybe not so much on the edge of your seats…maybe in the middle, comfortably reclined…or maybe you’ve already stood up and walked away from your chair…but COME BACK! I have basically called myself out on making it happen, so I’m working hard to deliver…until then…

“Q, R, S, T, U, COOKIE MONSTER”

This classic sesame street clip was on a “30 Years of The Muppets” special we recorded off the tube onto VHS. I watched it so many times I scrambled most of the tape, but thanks to the wonderful world of youtube I can relive my childhood and share my favorite bits with you!

“oh boy, oh boy…..oh danny”

“Clearly the three best singers the Muppets have ever had to offer, together at last.”

please note animal’s reaction to beaker’s high note at around 1:07…

the shiny guy always worries…

Ok, so after an entire month goes by without the slightest hint that I haven’t fallen off the face of the planet – I get on here and post a youtube video…what’s up with that?

1. What’s with the lack of postage? I have no excuses. I mean how hard is it really to hop on here and check in with you guys – let you know how I’m doing, what’s been going on with me and my work…maybe even ask how YOU’RE doing…did I ever think of THAT? ahem…

2. The video is in short – a test. I’m throwing around an idea for blogging in March and I needed to start with a test video. I chose this one (even though many of you have already seen it) because I could watch it over and over. We quote this little girl around here like she’s straight out of a comedy blockbuster. She sums up “A New Hope” in the simplest terms and when you’re done you think, “Yep. That’s pretty much it. That’s the story.”

Don’t know Star Wars? Well, my first thought is…How? How is that possible? (talk about falling off the face of the planet..) My second thought is even if you don’t she is so adorable it wont really matter…

“But, don’t talk back to Darth Vader, he’ll get cha!”

2008 Calendar Closed – Thank You!

My nephew Britton, last year, gearing up for his first Christmas…

First let me say a big Thank You to all of my fall clients who have made this holiday season in my first full year of business a great success.

Because of the totally custom nature of my work, I limit the number of sessions I take on every month in order to better serve each individual client. I pride myself in offering personalized customer service that is only accomplished through focusing on the quality of the work and not the quantity.

So, holiday sessions for September and October 2009 will begin booking in June/July/August with 8 sessions being booked each month. This October was fully booked, so consider booking early next summer if you would like the October 2009 session of your choice.

2009 summer sessions will be more than welcome to place Christmas orders from their galleries and even use their images in Christmas cards. (The “Christmas” is in the card and doesn’t necessarily have to come from the look of the images.)

If, however, you would like to incorporate a Christmas themed series (like the image above) into your summer or fall session for Christmas cards – we can do that! Most of your gallery will be “any time” images that can go up in your home year round with about one third being the Christmas series.

I am currently booking winter 2009 (Jan / Feb) for time sensitive sessions such as maternity, newborns, three months, and six months.

Thanks Again!
Kaydee

2008 Christmas cards…

The 2008 Christmas card samples are now available for viewing and I am so excited for you to see them! These are not photographic prints, but double sided or folded cards with envelopes. Our presses use real liquid ink, not toner like a color copier as some other printers use, to give our cards the look and feel of a very high quality printed piece.

The cards are printed on a beautiful linen art paper. All cards come in 5×7 format and are ordered in packages of 25. You may choose a folded card that is printed on all four sides or a flat card that is double sided. The cards are fully customizable – including images, we can change colors, text, fonts, etc.

Holiday sessions are booking now for the rest of October. Keep in mind, the later your session, the less time there will be between when your gallery goes up and the Holiday order due date. The 2008 booking season will be closed after November 2nd and all galleries will be posted by November 9th, giving the final sessions one week to decide on holiday orders. All Holiday orders are Due November 15th and will be delivered by December 6th. That way, we make sure you have plenty of time to get your cards out and your gift prints sorted, framed, wrapped, and ready for Christmas!

And, of course, if you have had a recent session and are interested in ordering Christmas cards just let me know.

Just send an email to kaydee@kaydeeroden.com for more Christmas card details. Thanks!
